It’s time the World Junior Championships to take the field from tomorrow, Sunday, 26th November to December 3rd at the Baltera Exhibition Center in Riva del Garda. The International Table Tennis Federation has announced the boys and girls Team Event’s stage 1 board.
In the Group A, USA led by Kanak Jha (number 13 on the September ranking) tackles Chile and Tunisia; Sweden in pole position in the Group B with Egypt and Australia; well-balanced Group C with the host nation, Italy competing with Brazil and Algeria; in the Group D interesting contest with India of Manav Vikash Thakkar (28th) and Argentina of Francisco Sanchi (n° 51st), along with New Zealand.
About girls’ teams, Group A includes Tunisia, together with two dangerous oppenens such as Puertorico with Adriana Diaz (9th) and Serbia with Izabela Lupulesku (27th). Germany looks as the main favorite in the Group B versus Egypt and New Zealand, while Italy play their chance in the Group C with Czezh Republic and Australia. In Group D, Brazil with Bruna Takahashi (21st) faces Canada and Algeria.
Firs eight seeding teams remain in stand-by mode for the time being until the next stage. The World Junior Table Tennis Championships’ show can start, right after the Sunday morning’s Opening Ceremony scheduled at 9:00 am.
